chili Docs
S3-compatible hot object storage from Switzerland.
chili speaks the full S3 API. If your tool, library or backup software works with Amazon S3, it works with chili too: set the endpoint and your access keys, done.
Getting started
- Quickstart guides: AWS CLI, boto3, rclone, Cyberduck
- S3 API reference: endpoints, authentication, error codes
- SDK examples: code snippets for common languages
- Changelog: platform release notes
Endpoint and access
You will find the S3 endpoint and your access keys (access key and secret) in the chili portal; the examples use <ENDPOINT> for the endpoint. The final, region-specific endpoint will be documented here once the platform is in production.
Why chili
- Swiss location in Zurich or Geneva, geo-redundant on request
- No egress fees
- Object Lock (WORM) for tamper-proof retention
- Full S3 compatibility, no vendor lock-in
